Thai Massage

1.) What does a Thai massage include?

*Thai massage works the entire body using a sequence of movements that are similar to yogic stretching. I use my palms and fingers to apply firm pressure to your body. You'll also be stretched and twisted into various positions.

You can wear loose, comfortable clothing during the massage.

2.)Do you wear clothes for a Thai massage?

*You will remain fully clothed for a Thai massage, so you should wear clothing that is comfortable and can stretch easily.

3.)What is the difference between a Thai massage and a normal massage?

Is Thai massage a full-body massage?

*Whereas Swedish and deep tissue massages take place atop a massage table, Thai massages take place upon a floor mat. This allows the client a more complete range of motion — which comes in handy. Because unlike western massage styles, you won't just be lying on your back or stomach when you receive a Thai massage.

4.) Does a Thai massage hurt?

*Thai massages are not particularly relaxing during the massage, they are therapeutic. However it shouldn't be painful, you must communicate with me and tell me if the  pressure is too hard if it is hurting. At the start of the massage I will often ask "how is my pressure" and you need to be honest.

5.) Can a Thai massage do damage?

* There are a few potential risks of Thai massage, just like any form of massage. It may cause changes in your heart rate. This could be harmful if you have a heart condition.

6.) Who should avoid Thai massage?

*If you have high blood pressure or other abnormalities of blood vessels e.g. varicose veins you should avoid Thai massage because you have the risk of blood clotting and might not be aware of it.

7.) Can Thai massage help lose weight?

*Yes, relaxing massages can help facilitate weight loss. But before you get too excited, it's important to stress that you can't book yourself a massage and expect the weight to fall off. To lose fat you need to do two key things, eat well and exercise.

8.) How often should you have Thai massage?

*I would recommend having a Thai Massage two or three times a month so that your can get the maximum benefit from the massage treatment.

(I do offer specials on services for multiple monthly visits).
